The note of a 12-year-old boy struck a chord with Angie Yaworsky. As a fellow farmer, the young boy had read Austin’s story in the Farm and Dairy but said he was unable to attend his benefit. He told Austin he had just farmed 10 acres of his own this past year and liked that they shared an interest in farming. He ended the note with “I wish it was easier for you. We need more farmers to produce more food.” (Catie Noyes)
