MORRISTOWN, Ohio — The Bits-N-Bridles 4-H club held a meeting at the Belmont Saddle Club recently. Members who won 2011 Belmont County Junior Fair horse awards include: Diamond Palmer, senior showmanship and high point western senior; Olivia Merritt, English showmanship; Ty Hawley, high point driving; Paige Elizeus, high point contest junior and the Terry Lee Decker memorial sportsmanship award.; Sarah Kinsey, high point English junior; Stephanie Watkins, high point senior.

Bits-N-Bridles members will ride their horses in the Barnsville Pumpkin Parade Sept. 24. The new year will begin Oct. 11 with a business meeting at 5:30 p.m. and a cookout after.

LISBON, Ohio — The Rough Riders 4-H club met Sept. 12 at the Center Township Building in Lisbon, Ohio. Membership enrollment forms were completed.

The club will meet Oct. 1 at Witmers Inc. to assemble a display. The club will make cookie jars for the bake sale at the Pumpkin Festival at the Columbiana County fairgrounds Oct. 15-16.

The club’s next meeting will be Oct. 10 at the Center Township Building. Fall family bonfire and hayride will be Oct. 29.
