BURTON, Ohio — The Geauga Dairymen 4-H club held a meeting Jan. 18 at the Niehus home. The club welcomed three new members; Lizzie Knopp, Paul Ricci and Mark Ricci. There were five members present at the meeting and three absent.

The club reviewed quality assurance, Dairy Palooza, skill-a-thon, the project book and the county fair. This year the club plans to go for honor club again.

The club discussed the window display they’re going to do in February in celebration of 4-H Week ,which is March 2-8.

The next meeting will be held in February and officers will be elected.

ALLIANCE, Ohio — The Country Barbwires 4-H club met Jan. 20 at Beechwood UMC.

Judging will be July 12 at the Stark Co. fairgrounds. Officer installment will take place at the next meeting, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m., at the Beechwood UMC.

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio — The Cows R Us 4-H club held its first meeting of the year Jan. 19.

The club elected officers during the meeting. Officers are Louis Liming, president; Marissa Sutton, vice president; Emily Smallsreed, secretary; Julie Smallsreed, treasurer; Marlena Liming, health officer; Miranda Sloan, safety officer; Colby Turon and Cody Kilber, recreation officers; news reporter, Preston Sheets; and Steve Turon is the club’s representative to the dairy committee meetings.

The club discussed upcoming dates. The Trumbull County Fair will be held July 8-13 and clean-up day will be June 29. Quality Assurance is going to be held April 5 at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds. Dairy Palooza will be May 3, in Wooster. The Ohio Holstein Association’s 94th Convention and Annual meeting will be March 7-8 in Alliance, Ohio.

The next club meeting will be Feb. 16.
