WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Two news and informational columns written by Purdue University Agriculture specialists are now available as podcasts.

Two podcasts

Podcasts of “On Six Legs” by entomologist Tom Turpin and “Capital Comments” by agricultural economist Larry DeBoer can be downloaded at www.ag.purdue.edu/agcomm/Pages/NewsPodcasts.aspx.

“On Six Legs” takes an entertaining look at the insect world, while “Capital Comments” has timely information on public policy issues related to state and local government in Indiana.

“On Six Legs’ started to address insect-related issues for a non-science audience, such as insects in literature, music and pop culture. Also included is pest information when it will be useful.

Another one coming

A third column podcast is being developed.

“Purdue Yard and Garden News” will be the podcast of consumer horticulturist Rosie Lerner’s “In The Grow” column.
Lerner’s column covers a variety of gardening topics in a question-and-answer format.
