THOMPSON, Ohio — Thompson Ledge Dairymen 4-H club met Oct. 18 for a brief meeting and hayride at Lausin Farm.

The club was recognized as an Honor Club and a 4-H Fair Fest Participant in a ceremony held at NDCL Elementary School Oct. 21. Members also received the following awards: Matthew Burton and Jack Kuehn for health and safety poster contest; Katie, Matt and Elise Bruening, Audrey Buterbaugh, Mike and Brian Depner, Andrew Garret, Lucas Kuehn, Brie Carr, Megan Hartman, Jake and Adam Lausin, Emma Niehus and Kevin Snyder for outstanding dairy participation and Katie and Matt Bruening for ambassador of 4-H.

Gold Medal Awards were received by Jake Lausin for achievement and Emma Niehus and Matt Bruening for leadership.

A planning meeting was held Nov. 15 at Montville Community Center. The club is making arrangements to provide Christmas gifts for a local family. Plans for the activities associated with Honor Club were discussed.

The next meeting was held Dec. 6 at Montville Community Center and officers will be elected.

HANOVERTON, Ohio — The Hicks and Hayseeds 4-H club elected new officers.

They include Kyle Miller, president; Gage Chestnut, vice president; Zarah Strong, secretary; Brook Riffee, treasurer; Tyler Miller, news reporter; Dallas Strong, health and safety leader and Nathan Miller and Isaiah Chestnut, recreation leaders.

The club is making candy snow men and with the volunteers helping at the Hanoverton Christmas food giveaway.

The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 5.

CARROLLTON, Ohio — Snoopy’s Friends 4-H club met Nov. 24 with 14 members in attendance.

Members discussed walking dogs in the Christmas parade.
Members gave demonstrations on food.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 2 at the Friendship Center.
