CAMP HILL, Pa. — Pennsylvania Farm Bureau will host a variety of activities at its exhibit area during the 96th Pennsylvania Farm Show, Jan. 7-14, at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.

Children’s activities

PFB will offer information on many of its programs and services, along with several interactive activities. For example, the Pennsylvania Friend’s of Agriculture Foundation will present “Which Sheep Are Ewe?”

The activity will encourage children to learn more about sheep by focusing on different types of sheep, their main characteristics and most common traits.

All who participate in “Which Sheep are Ewe” will be given a sheep head visor (while supplies last) as well as an informational take-home page.

Farm Bureau’s Promotion and Education Committee will oversee its “Wheel of Food,” which is an educational display that tests a person’s knowledge of where their food comes from.

Current issues in ag. Background information on current issues impacting Pennsylvania agriculture will be available at PFB’s Farm Show location, along with representatives of the Farm Bureau.

PFB’s exhibit area (Exhibit 102) is located in Exposition Hall near the main Food Court.

New exhibit

Meanwhile, PFB is a proud supporter of a new exhibit called “Today’s Agriculture,” which is a 10,000 square foot exhibit designed to help the public understand more about how farmers feed a growing population by opening the doors to modern livestock and crop production.

The “Today’s Agriculture” exhibit is located in Exposition Hall, directly across from PFB’s exhibit area.
