Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 cup sour cream
Directions:
- Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or two knives. Add eggs and sour cream gradually. Chill dough at least 2 hours or longer.
- Roll out; cut with cookie cutters and bake in hot oven at 425 F until set and barely golden on bottom, not brown, about 5 minutes.
- Cool on rack completely.
