Over 180 people attended the Small Farm Conference: Living the Small Farm Dream, April 2, at the OARDC, in Wooster. The conference covered everything from berry production, to small livestock care, farm management, and niche market opportunities for those interested in farming on a smaller scale.
Applications being accepted for new Western Lake Erie Basin EQIP initiative
The USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service opened a new three-year initiative to provide accelerated conservation assistance for farmers in the Western Lake Erie Basin, including land in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. The Environmental Quality Incentives Program will be used to fund applications.
