Sweet spring is almost here and with it comes opportunities to spruce up outdoor areas with trees, shrubs, flowers and more. Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Salem Public Library encourage you, your friends and your family to come to a “Go Wild at the Park” program where you will learn how to plant tree seedlings. Jason Reynolds of the Columbiana County Soil and Water Conservation District will teach the techniques to help raise beautiful, healthy trees to enjoy for years to come. Meet Jason at pavilion #9 (near the duck pond) at Waterworth Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 6 p.m. A free tree seedling will be given to the first 25 registered program participants. This program is open to the public and free of cost to attend. Please register online at www.salem.lib.oh.us. For more information and/or assistance with registration call the library at 330-332-0042.

“Go Wild in the Park” is a series of educational and entertaining programs provided through the partnership of Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Salem Public Library.
