Angus champions parade at Ohio show

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio – Angus exhibitors led 118 entries at the 2003 Ohio Angus Preview Show in Washington Court House, Ohio.

Mark Richardson of Milton, Ind., evaluated the 89 females, 25 bulls and four cow-calf pairs.

Females. Champion Hill Erica 2877 won grand champion female, and was exhibited by Jenna Gilbert of Greenville, Ohio. She’s a March 2002 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C, and first won junior champion.

Kingsway Lassie 52 was the reserve grand champion female, and was exhibited by Eric King of Tiffin, Ohio. The April 2002 daughter of Northern Improvement 4480 GF first won reserve junior champion.

Bulls. Chas Deitrick and family of Zanesville, Ohio, exhibited the grand champion bull. Saras Widespread 571 is a May 2001 son of Whitestone Widespread L048. He first won senior champion.

Advance Cattle Company of Nashport, Ohio, exhibited the reserve grand champion bull. Advance Special Design 14L is a January 2001 son of Bon View New Design 1407. He first won reserve senior champion.

Weisel Jestress 1130 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Sarah Wogan of Hebron, Ohio, exhibited the March 2001 daughter of Whitestone Widespread MB. She had a February 2003 daughter of War Hall of Fame 8023, at side.

Maplecrest RBC Rita A103 was the reserve cow-calf pair. Lindsey Grimes of Hillsboro, Ohio, exhibited the February 2001 daughter of Bon View Bando 598. She has a February 2003 daughter of C A Future Direction 5321.
