ASHTABULA, Ohio – The Ashtabula Arts Center will host the “Brown Bag” concert series this summer.
These free one-hour concerts are held each Wednesday at the North Park Gazebo in downtown Ashtabula and Thursday at Village Park on East Jefferson Street in Jefferson.
The series runs throughout July and August. Beginning both the Ashtabula and Jefferson series will be gospel singer Monique Dudley, a newcomer to the Brown Bag series.
A resident of Rock Creek, Dudley writes her own music, and is active in the music ministry at Rock Creek United Methodist Church.
Among the other newcomers is area resident Ron Cramer, who will entertain audiences with guitar work and a blend of old and new songs.
The group Porter’s Fun Bunch, a jazz and variety group consisting of both professionally trained and self-taught musicians will join the series lineup.
Starts July 11.
The series will begin July 11 in Ashtabula, and run for six weeks. In case of rain, the Ashtabula concerts will be moved inside the First Presbyterian Church on Park Avenue in Ashtabula; the Jefferson concerts will move inside the United Methodist Church adjacent to the park in Jefferson.
