Craig Reiter gets OSU alumni award

COLUMBUS – The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Alumni Society at Ohio State will recognize Craig Reiter of Pemberville, Ohio, as one of their outstanding young alumni.

The award will be presented Feb. 14 during the alumni awards luncheon at the Fawcett Center on the Columbus campus.

Achievement. The Outstanding Young Professional Achievement Award will be presented to Reiter.

This award is presented this year to four young men or women for their early accomplishments in their careers and serves as a stimulus for further effort by younger alumni.

His history. Reiter is a 1989 graduate of Eastwood High School in Pemberville, Ohio.

He is also a 1993 graduate of The Reppert School of Auctioneering in Decatur, Ind., and a 1994 graduate of The Ohio State University.

Since 1993, Craig has been the president and CEO of PrimeTIME AgriMarketing Network Inc, a diversified livestock marketing company based in Pemberville, Ohio.

The network claims leading and innovative auctions such as The Frozen Gold Sale of Elite Genetic, as their own inventions.

The resulting effect of the success of these events and associations has led to the establishment of a new and very viable market available to livestock producers of all sizes and orientations.

Helping out. Along with all of his success at work, he donates time and money to the 4-H and FFA livestock programs, raising over $40,000 for their judging teams.

Craig often spends his time as a motivational and educational speaker as a firm believer in agriculture and its youth programs.

Other activities. While at Ohio State, he was president of the Saddle & Sirloin Club, state 4-H judging team, and OSU general livestock teams, and served on various teams and committees of the clubs and college.

He was instrumental in establishing calf, hog, and Iamb classic shows. He was also a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity.

Reiter lives in Pemberville with his wife, Amy, and their daughter, Grace.
