Deer Hunter’s Rendezvous to be held Dec. 8 at Pine Lake

NORTH LIMA, Ohio – The 17th annual Deer Hunter’s Rendezvous will be held Dec. 8 at Pine Lake, three miles south of the Ohio Turnpike Exit 16 on Route 7 near North Lima, Ohio.

This is an event dedicated to deer hunters and to the deer they hunt. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and all deer hunters and those interested in seeing big deer should plan to attend.

Raffles will be held throughout the day, and each hunter bringing in their 2002 tagged buck (on the carcass), or the antlers of the deer harvested this year, will be eligible for the drawing of a Traditions Muzzleloader. The winner must be present.

Food and beverages will be available.

Admission fees will be as follows: Hunters bringing in their whole deer will be admitted free, those with horns from deer harvested this year, $1; those with an Ohio Valley Outdoors Magazine, $2; and those without a deer, $3. Children 12 and under will be admitted free and qualify for special drawings.

Help the hungry. Also to be shared is the Nature’s Bounty program. All hunters are asked to donate 1- to 2-pound packages of processed meat to help feed the hungry.

The meat will be collected at the Rendezvous and distributed to the Rescue Mission. Coolers will be provided for the meat collected.

Sportsmen Against Hunger is a program that has over the years collected many pounds of meat and has fed hundreds of people, and sportsmen from the community give generously.
