NORTH BENTON, Ohio — Camille Kirk, of North Benton, was honored at the November meeting of Western Reserve Rangers 4-H club by being selected as the 2015 4-H Club Spirit Award recipient.

Ranger member and 2015 4-H Queen Shanon Marshburn shared some of her recent visits to other county fairs, festivals and parades. A special memory from the Canfield Fair was escorting the many visiting fair queens and the Ohio State Fair Queen around our county fair.

Club members were encouraged to check out the 2016 4-H Family Guide that is currently available on the Mahoning County 4-H website to help them plan their project selections for 2016.

Kathleen Moser showed several sample dresses that the club could make for “Dress a Girl Around the World Program” sponsored by “Hope4Women International” of Tempe, Ariz. Club members, parents and advisors will be attending a workshop at an advisor’s home to complete this community service project.

WINONA, Ohio — The Lone Ranger’s 4-H club met Nov. 8 at the Winona Friends Church to elect new club officers: president, Shelby Peters; vice president, Megan Amos; secretary, Ashley Hahn; treasurer, Kelly Heffinger; news reporter, Rachel Amos; historian, Justin Keir; devotional leader, Samantha Tomlinson; and a recreation team of Jacen Howell and Ryan Keir. The club will be Christmas Caroling at the Blossom Nursing Home in Salem during their December meeting.
