JEROMESVILLE, Ohio — The Hillsdale FFA chapter had a team compete in the state Nursery and Landscaping Career Development Event. The team placed 10th overall. Team members included Hannah Shock, Brittani Baldner-Hill, Bryce Payn and Melanie Graven.

PLYMOUTH, Ohio — Several Plymouth FFA officers competed with more than 15 other officers in FFA District 2 to receive honors on Feb. 4. District judging took place at Mapleton High School. Chapter secretary Taylor Foster earned first place and a gold rating for her organization of chapter minutes and activities. Foster is the daughter of Rebecca Foster. Chapter reporter Haley Rinehart, daughter of Mike and Renee Rinehart, earned third place and a gold rating for her public relations efforts and scrapbook. Chapter treasurer Zac Arnold, son of Todd and Jenny Arnold, received a gold rating for his organization of FFA chapter finances. FFA recent alumni Ashley Cross earned first place in accounting proficiency in the district and has submitted her American FFA degree application to the state of Ohio. Ashley is the daughter of Jeff and Candy Echelbarger and is currently attending Wilmington College majoring in agricultural education.
