BRECKSVILLE, Ohio – At 7:30 p.m.. Jan. 10, the 2003 Lyceum Distinguished Speaker Series begins at Happy Days Visitor Center with a presentation on the Wright Brothers by Tom Crouch.

How did two young men from Dayton, Ohio, neither of whom had spent a day in a college classroom, succeed where so many of the brightest minds in history had failed?

Crouch, senior curator of aeronautics with the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, will consider that question in this illustrated slide talk.

Learn about their family background, character, and personalities as well as a process of invention that enabled the brothers to solve problems that perplexed other would-be pilots.

All lyceums will be held at Happy Days Visitor Center at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children 6-12.

Happy Days Visitor Center is located on state Route 303, one mile west of state Route 8 in Boston Heights. For more information call 21-524-1497 or 800-445-9667.
