Hindmans show four of the six top Holsteins at northwest Pa. show

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – The Northwest Pa. Championship Holstein Show was held Aug. 5 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Brookville, Pa.
Judge Brett Benton of Troupsburg, N.Y., evaluated the 75 head entered, and went to the winner of the 125,000-pound class as his grand champion. Scottown-Jr Storm Shelby is owned by Kevin Doeberiener.
The reserve champion, Highland-H Leduc Shadow-ET, owned by Christy Hindman of Brockway, Pa. The senior 3-year-old was also the best bred and owned of the open show.
Hindman also showed the grand champion in the youth show, a junior 2-year-old, Highland-H Champion Candace. Tylor Smith showed the reserve champion of the youth show, Smith-Oak LJ Sophia, a 5-year-old.
Hindman and Smith also claimed the top spots in the youth calf classes, and Hindman also showed the reserve junior champion in the open show. Katie Bednarski showed the open class junior champion, E-ricks Cousteau Onyx, a fall yearling calf.
