COSHOCTON, Ohio – Justin Rupert, the chef at The Inn at Roscoe Village, will be sharing his cooking talents and insight into food for entertaining during the May 7 lecture at Historic Roscoe Village.

Food for thought. He will teach helpful techniques of preparing foods for guests. Presented as part of the 2003 Roscoe Village Membership Series, “Food for Entertaining” will begin at 7 p.m. at the Visitor Center in Historic Roscoe Village.

Rupert will offer a one-of-a-kind cooking experience with a hands-on demonstration. Guests will be able to sample his creations.

Rupert, a native of Wooster, Ohio, resides in Coshocton. He has been a chef for the past 14 years and has spent many of these years at restaurants in the Columbus area.

World of worms. On June 4, the lecture series will feature Martin Shipitalo, a Research Soil Scientist with the USDA-Agricultural Research Service at the North Appalachian Experimental Watershed in Coshocton, Ohio.

He will discuss earthworms, as well as some of his research regarding the interactions between conservation tillage, soil biological activity, and water quality.

Tickets for the lectures are $7 per member and $8 for nonmembers and may be purchased through Roscoe Village Membership.
