James R. Kiko is inducted into the Ohio Auctioneer Association Hall of Fame

COLUMBUS – James R. Kiko, of Russ Kiko Associates, Auctioneers and Realtors, Canton, Ohio, was inducted into the Ohio Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame Jan. 19 for his leadership and positive influence to the auction profession.

Like father, like son. One person is inducted annually. His father, Russell T. Kiko, Sr. was the first Ohioan in 1986 to be inducted into the Ohio Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame and his brother Richard T. Kiko was inducted in 1991.

Jim, the fifth child of Russell and Colette Kiko, graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1962 and continued his education at Ohio State Agricultural Short Course in 1963. He was a graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute in 1981.

Kiko has been a full-time auctioneer for 40 years and has conducted 731 auctions and 200 benefit auctions since 1987. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Russ Kiko Associates.

Memberships. He served several terms on the Ohio Auctioneers Association Board of Directors, is a current member of the National Auctioneers Association, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Consumers National Bank.

Kiko has been involved with the local county fairs, including the Stark County Livestock Auction for over 30 years. He also helps with fundraisers through charity auctions.
