Lake Metroparks schedules quilt show at Farmpark

KIRTLAND, Ohio -The Lake Metroparks’ Quilts show is set for Lake Farmpark, beginning Feb. 15.

The show runs through March 27. Hours of the show are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

“Quilts 2002” is the 11th annual judged quilt show held at Lake Farmpark. This year, over 200 quilted works will be displayed in the visitors center.

Featured at this year’s show are internationally known artists Lorraine Torrence from Seattle, Wash., and Lynn Kough, from Arizona.

The judged portion of Quilts 2002 includes works by artists from across the United States. Heirloom quilts and quilts made by school groups throughout northeast Ohio will also be on display.

Workshops. Lake Farmpark will offer in-depth quilting opportunities during Quilts 2002. Various workshops, luncheons, and dinner/lectures will be held. Workshops will cover various quilting and design techniques, piecing, doll making, and quilting for children.

Admission to Quilts 2002 is included with regular Farmpark admission. Prices include $16 for ages 12 and over; $5 for seniors 60 and over; $4 for youth 2 to 11; and children under 2 are admitted free. Members of Lake Farmpark receive free admission.
