Looks like the taxpayer gets the short end of the stick again

I wonder how the 330 people in Richland County who own property in the Muskingum Watershed District that had to pay the assessment fee on their property that was supposed to be used to help rebuild dams and maintenance for the lakes feel now that $400,000 of the money went to pay raises.

You don’t want to believe everything that John Hoopingarner (of the Muskingum Watershed) told us. He said we need every cent that we can get to repair these dams before they break and cause a catastrophe down river.

I wonder if the Richland County commissioners got a raise — they didn’t seem to want to get involved. They said go see this guy or call this guy.

But I see our Richland County judge and the other 17 county judges saw fit to give their OK to the assessment. I wonder how much they got to put in their pockets.
