MEDINA, Ohio – The Medina County Historical Society will hold an open house April 7 at the John Smart House, 206 N. Elmwood St., Medina, from 1-4 p.m.
This Queen Ann Style late Victorian House is home to the society and its collection of Medina County history. There are exhibits of vintage clothing, Civil War displays, pioneer artifacts, Native American tools and arrowheads from the area.
Of special note is the display of Martin Van Buren Bates and his wife, Anna Swan, the “Giants of Seville.”
The John Smart House is also open for tours on Tuesday and Thursday, from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. For additional information call 330-722-1341..
