Music disc player sells for $7,250

COPLEY, Ohio – A Polyphone music disc player sold for $7,250 when it crossed the block at a Feb. 2 antique and collectibles auction. Auctioneer Jim Stults and the Millennium Crew saw 400 people in attendance at the auction held at the Knights Hall in Copley, Ohio.

Other high sellers include a Regina music box, $5,000; oak desk, $3,000; mahogany dining set, $1,200; quilt, $1,050; and a large oak china cabinet, $900.

An assortment of German bisque and composition dolls brought as much as $600 each, and 12 pieces of Roseville pottery sold for as much as $475 each. More than 1,000 pieces of jewelry also sold.

The auction lasted approximately seven hours.
