COLUMBUS – The Ohio Farm Service Agency (FSA) will hold public meetings in six counties to solicit public comment regarding the Ohio FSA proposed office restructuring plan in which Perry, Erie, Carroll, Warren, Lorain and Montgomery county offices are being considered for closure.
Downsizing. When the review of FSA county offices began in 2006, there were 72 county offices, with seven of those being shared management offices. The restructuring plan will eliminate shared-management offices.
The meetings will be conducted by state office staff and Ohio Farm Service state committee members. Farmers will be able to weigh in on the proposed consolidation of county offices.
Meetings. All meetings will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.
