Ohio Light Opera announces show schedule for 2001

WOOSTER, Ohio – Four first-time productions and three traditional favorites will grace the stage of Freedlander Theatre this summer as the Ohio Light Opera Company takes up residence at The College of Wooster for its 23rd season.

“Our audiences will be treated to a similar, diverse repertoire reminiscent of previous years, including a well-known Gilbert and Sullivan, a Viennese operetta, an American operetta, and a revival of a forgotten work,” said Steven Daigle, artistic director of Ohio Light Opera.

Traditional favorites, such as Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld and Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers and The Yeomen of the Guard, will show at the Ohio Light Opera.
