Ohio’s Carlton Cope wins Championship Tractor Pull in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Carlton Cope, from Salem, Ohio, powered his Massey Ferguson 2805 dubbed “Warpath” to a full pull of 224.98 to win Friday night’s session of the 10,200-pound pro stock tractor pull at the 2013 Championship Tractor Pull held in conjunction with the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Ky.

Then he came back the next night to win the finals, too.

Cope measured a pull of 239.20 in the finals Feb. 16, besting the second-place tractor driven by Ken Couch of Jackson, Tenn., by nearly 5 feet.

Calvin Miller, of Guys Mills, Pa., won the 7,500-pound 4×4 super stock diesel truck pull at the 2013 Championship Tractor Pull with a pull of 236.32.

Miller drives and owns the 2002 Dodge Schied Diesel Cummins powered truck called “Runnin in the RED.”
