GLOUSTER, Ohio – A one-day series of workshops designed for ginseng enthusiasts of all types, from experts to beginners will be held Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at OSU South Centers in Piketon, Ohio.
Specialists. Ginseng specialists from across the eastern United States will share their experiences, ideas and expertise about the cultivation, ecology and marketing of American ginseng.
Speakers include Scott Persons, an internationally known grower and author of the resource American Ginseng: Green Gold; Syl Yunker of the Appalachian Ginseng Foundation; biologist James McGraw of West Virginia University; and Greg Duskey of the Wild American Ginseng Company.
Registration. The cost is $20 per person and includes lunch. Registration is limited to 75, so register early.
