The Holmes County Chapter of the American Red Cross would like to thank all persons, businesses, churches and organizations who contributed to the eighth annual auction July 7. The auction supports the disaster services program in Holmes County.
This year’s auction net proceeds were $33,909.23.
From July 1, 2000, to June 30, 2001, the chapter assisted 17 families who were victims of 13 household fires in Holmes County.
It also assisted with 10 Armed Forces emergency services cases; held 100 CPR and first aid classes and 16 water safety classes and had 7,270 units of blood collected at bloodmobiles.
All of this is possible by the caring, concerned and generous people who support and volunteer for the Holmes County chapter.
