Restored inn opens for harvest season with weekend tours

LIGONIER, Pa. – Harvest candlelight tours begin at Compass Inn Museum Nov. 2 and continue on weekends through Nov. 24 with hours from 2-5 p.m.

The inn, a restored 1799 stagecoach stop that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is decorated for the Harvest/Thanksgiving season with pumpkins, cornstalks, and other natural accents. The glow of nearly 100 candles enhance the tour.

Visitors are asked to allow one hour for the tour.

The outbuildings, cookhouse, blacksmith shop and barn are closed at this time of year.

Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students through high school; 5 and under are complimentary.

Walk-ins are welcome; however, reservations are requested for groups of 10 or more. The Inn will open for groups of 20 or more on weekdays.
