
SULLVIAN, Ohio — Seven Black River FFA members were selected to receive Ohio FFA Foundation blue jackets including Hunter Lee, Greg Diaz, Tanner Steidl, Lexi Brown, Izabella Teets, Serina Dearth and Isaac Jurado.
The Ohio FFA Foundation’s blue jackets program removes financial barriers so all members can wear FFA jackets; students can apply or be nominated through the program. This year, the organization received 366 applications and nominations.
The Ohio FFA Foundation partnered with Beck’s Hybrids to provide first-year members with FFA jackets across the state.

WEST SALEM, Ohio — Northwestern Wayne FFA competed in the District Food Science CDE on Dec. 11 at Norwayne High School where the chapter took fourth place. Team members included Addy Connelly, Makenna Connelly, Emma Connelly, Brooke Hershey, Brooke Bittle, Kaylee Cherry, Joy Phillips, Alivia Welch and Braylen Volger.

OBERLIN, Ohio — Firelands FFA’s parliamentary procedure teams had success at Ohio FFA’s Leadership Development Events. Both teams won the subdistrict and district competitions to advance to states. The chapter’s advanced parliamentary procedure team earned first place in the state semifinals. In the finals, the team scored third place.
Team members included Marshall Ternes, chair of team; Lilly Chenoweth, secretary and members Callie Finnegan, Anna Risolvato, Jordyn Simpson and Trevor Wiley.
The chapter’s novice parliamentary procedure team earned second place in the state semifinals. Team members included Amelia Branco, president; Regan Viock, vice president; Diem Vanderpool, secretary; Ben Wagner, treasurer; Jennifer Keets, reporter; Kendal Ramirez, sentinel; Addy Bement, student advisor and member Addy Doane.
