WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster’s Scot Symphonic Band will present its annual spring concert March 2 at 4 p.m.

The free event will be at McGaw Chapel, 340 East University St., Wooster, Ohio.

It is a preview of the band’s annual spring tour, an eight-stop tour with appearances in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Washington between March 8-15.

Directed by Nancy Ditmer, the 90-piece band, clad in Dress MacLeod tartan kilts that reflect Wooster’s Scottish Presbyterian heritage, includes pipers, dancers and drummers, who perform a variety of traditional pipe tunes and marches.

The spring program is highlighted by traditional music from Scotland and Robert Russell Bennett’s Suite of Old American Dances.
