Sebring’s Bill Grammer breeds top-ranked Jersey

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio – Bill Grammer of Grammer Dairy, Sebring, Ohio, bred one of the nation’s highest Jersey milk producers.

Grammer Bristol Martha was recognized as No. 7 of the top 10 Jerseys recognized in the American Jersey Cattle Association’s 2002 Living Lifetime Production Contest.

Over a span of 3,506 days, she produced 224,639 pounds of milk, 7,460 pounds of protein and 8,264 pounds of fat.

Her average daily milk production was 64.1 pounds.

The association’s annual Living Lifetime Production Contest recognizes cows alive as of Dec. 31 of the contest year that have produced a minimum of 175,000 pounds milk, 8,750 pounds fat, or 7,000 pounds protein.

A total of 31 cows were nominated for the 2002 contest.
