Singles in Agriculture invite new members


COLUMBUS – If you are single, have an agricultural background and are interested in spending the day with some great folks, come join the Ohio chapter of Singles in Agriculture for some upcoming activities.

Oct. 5. Sidney, Ohio: tour Cargill Seed, Inc., that processes soybeans into oil, meal and various products and the Ross Historical Center, enjoy a hayride, dinner by a campfire in the woods, then a round and square dance in the hay mow of a barn.

Nov. 2. Ashtabula County; tour winery, apple cider processing plant and much more; contact Connie at 440-576-6754.

Dec. 7. East Liberty, Ohio; 4:30 p.m. kick-off to our Christmas dinner and gift exchange followed by a dance with John Wargowsky. For details, contact Rod at 937-666-3311.

Next year. Events scheduled for 2002 include an activity in the Columbus area for January; dinner at Mt. Victory Plaza and dance at Dakota Ranch in Broadway, Ohio, in February; an tours of Amish communities in Ohio and Pennsylvania in March and September, respectively.

A hayride, wiener roast and dance will be held in November in Richwood, Ohio, and an event is scheduled for Dec. 13, 2003 in Columbus.
