Stark, Summit Extension offices set to split, move

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – After 13 years as the Stark Summit County Extension Office, both counties will move to new locations and begin operating independent of each other as of Jan. 1.

Stark County’s office will move to a new facility at 2650 Richville Drive in Massillon. Stark County Soil and Water Conservation District, Farm Service Agency and Rural Development will also be housed at this site.

Extension personnel will include David Crawford (chair), Denny Weilnau, Phyllis McMaster, Deidre Betancourt, Kathleen Meneses and an additional Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program educator yet to be hired.

Summit County’s office will move to an existing county facility at 2525 State Road in Cuyahoga Falls.

Staffing will include Edrice Robinson-Wyatt (chair), Denise Ellsworth, Deidre Betancourt, Cathy Ruther, Joyce Hager, Melinda Walsh and Dianne Dunphy.

Six Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program educators will also be at the office: Lynnette Brown, Antaya Johnson, Regina Rogers, Geraldine Culliver, Peggy Frazier and Gertha Venable.
