Sustainable ag program focuses on soil

LANCASTER, Pa. – Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture will present a three-day intensive learning program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 12-14 at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center in Lancaster, Pa.
From the basics of using and interpreting a soil test to learning to identify the effects of depleted or excessive nutrients in your soil, the lessons you learn here could change the way you farm.
Albrecht method. Participants will learn about the Albrecht method. Instructor Neal Kinsey studied privately under Albrecht’s direction and successfully completed the required course material to qualify as a certified agronomist.
As a soil fertility management specialist, Kinsey has served as the principle consultant to numerous agriculture and commercial enterprises around the world.
The cost is $245 for association members and $295 for all others. It includes handouts, breakfast and lunch all three days.
