CARROLLTON, Ohio - Buyers came from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina to a firearms auction March 2.
Larry Garner Auctioneerssold 263 firearms for various sellers, including a gun shop in northeast Pennsylania.
There were approximately 60 firearms new in box, along with many collection pieces.
The top selling shotgun was a Winchester Model 12 Trap which was highly engraved with animal scenes. The engraver was unknown. Price was $6,250.
Also selling was a Winchester Model 12, 16 ga. Skeet in the original box, $1,650; Winchester Commerative “John Wayne” rifle in original box, $1,000; and a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 brought $1,275.
There was an excellent selection of Smith & Wesson, Brownings, Rugers, Weatherby and others, many of which were new in box.
