Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups quick oats, processed until fine
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 8 oz. chocolate candy bar, chopped
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream together butter and sugars until combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla until light and creamy, about 1 minute.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Add chocolate chips, candy bar and nuts and mix well by hand.
  6. Roll dough into balls and place them evenly spaced on prepared cookie sheets. You can also use cookie scoops for consistency.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven for approximately 6 to 7 minutes. Take them out when they are just barely starting to turn brown.
  8. Let them sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes before removing to the cooling rack.
