- 1 1/8 s butter
- 1/2 brown sugar
- 1/2 sugar
- 2 egg yolks*
- 1 cup flour, sifted
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 cup nuts or coconut
Cream one cup butter and sugars until fluffy, beat in egg yolks. Add flour and oats and mix well. Place mixture in ungreased 9×13-inch pan and bake at 350° 20 minutes (will be pale). Remove from oven and cool. Melt chocolate chips and 1/8 cup butter in top of double boiler; spread while slightly warm on top of baked mixture and sprinkle with chopped nuts or coconut. Cut into small squares. Makes 48.
*Editors Note: I tried to find recipes that would use up extra egg whites and yolks hope they help.
