Copycat Wendy’s Chili

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 cans pinto beans 15 oz. each, not drained
  • 2 cans kidney beans 15 oz. each, not drained
  • 3 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cans tomato sauce, 15 oz. each
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes, 15 oz. each
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • For serving crackers

Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef in a large stock pot.
  2. Halfway through the cooking time, add in the celery and bell pepper and cook until tender. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add in the remaining ingredients except for cheese and crackers. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat and cover and simmer for approximately 30 minutes to combine all of the flavors.
