Jalapeno Popper Mummies

Ingredients:

  • 12 large jalapenos
  • 1 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 lb. cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 package crescent dough sheet
  • 24 candy eyeballs
  • Optional: Ranch Dressing for dipping

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Cut jalapenos lengthwise and scoop out the center. Set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic powder, and onion powder until well mixed.
  4. Scoop 1 – 2 Tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeno half.
  5. Roll out crescent dough, if using crescent roll dough, pinch together the seems before proceeding. Cut into thin strips. Wrap jalapeno halves in the crescent dougn strips, leaving space for the eyes. Place onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately press the candy eyes into the empty space.
  8. Serve with ranch dressing or other preferred condiment.
