Ingredients

  • 1/2 butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pecans, chopped fine

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix butter, sugar and vanilla; set aside. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed butter; mix in nuts. Roll into 1-inch balls and drop onto greased cookie sheet. Lightly mash each ball slightly flat. Bake at 350° 15 to 20 minutes. If desired, roll in powdered sugar when cooled.
