Ohio hunters harvested 3,315 wild turkeys during the opening weekend of the south zone spring hunting season April 23-24.

Two recent special hunts were organized for disabled hunters to enjoy the outdoors while hunting for wild turkey. Twenty-three hunters participated.

Biologists with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife recommended a major reduction to the 2022 fall wild turkey hunting season.
