Extension meeting to cover how to get started in sheep business

OLD WASHINGTON, Ohio — The next OSU Extension sheep meeting will be Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Eastern Agriculture Research Station in Belle Valley.

Topics

The program will include presentations from Dr. Dale Duerr, who will address basic health concerns and guidelines for purchasing and maintaining a healthy flock. In addition, he will cover vaccinations and deworming.

Daryl Clark, retired extension educator will cover getting started with the right kind of sheep for the right market. Clif Little with OSU Extension will cover nutrition and feeding.

Registration

The cost of the program is $10 per person and registration information is available from your local OSU Extension agriculture educator. Registration information is available online at guernsey.osu.edu or call the Guernsey or Noble County Extension office at 740-489-5300 or 740-732-5681. Registration deadline is Nov. 14.
