TRAIL, Ohio — Make a quality product and make it affordable.

And since 1978, Nelson B. Weaver has been following that business philosophy at Trail Farm Supply, 3401 Twp. Road 411, Dundee.

He knows what farmers need because, for 30 years, Weaver operated Trail Farm Supply from his own farm, and then expanded to a new location two years ago.

Today, the company manufactures and installs a range of horse and dairy barn equipment, including box stalls, grills, tiestalls, horse gates, milking parlors, headlocks, freestalls, eat-through panels and gates.

Trail Farm Supply also sells horse-drawn manure spreaders, liquid manure systems and rubber matting.

Last year, the company added aluminum gates and round pens. These are only half the weight, Weaver said, but strength equals the 14 gauge gates. The business, however, specializes in top quality products made of galvanized alloy steel — a product with no rust.
