ALLIANCE, Ohio — Country Folks and Country Barbwires 4-H clubs had a meeting Jan. 24 at the Washington Firestation.

The clubs brought canned food for the Alliance Food Pantry.

Country Folks elected the following officers: Christinia Brunner, president; Brittany Brugger, vice president; Claire Morrow, secretary; Sheridan Rummell, treasurer; Sarah Weisent, reporter; Maggie Brown and Shnaiah Thomas, health; and Robin and Grant Campbell, safety.

Country Barbwires elected: Joshua Schwerzler, president; Clay Pointer, vice president; Emily Conrad, secretary; Carter Evans, treasurer; Alec McDaniel, reporter; Kaytelyn Pyles, health; and Justin Weisent, safety.

There will be an officers meeting Feb. 12 at the firestation at 5 p.m. and a pizza sale in February.

LORDSTOWN, Ohio — The January meeting of Cows R Us 4-H dairy club was Jan. 23 at the Southington Christian Church.

New member, Jacob Rasey, was introduced and officers were elected. They are: Dan Montgomery, president; Joel Straley, vice president; Emily Smallsreed, secretary; Julie Smallsreed, treasurer; Marlena Liming, news reporter; Rasey, health; Amber Dietz, safety; and Shannon Montgomery, recreation.

There will be a two-day dairy show at the fair this year. The fair runs June 29-July 4.

Certificates of achievement were given.

The Holstein banquet was announced, and the girls were encouraged to enter the Junior and Senior Dairy Princess Contest.

Quality Assurance is May 1 at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds.

The next meeting is Feb. 20 at the Southington Christian Church.
