Item No. 859

Hello from Hazard!

One lonely response trickled in for Item No. 858. Dan Stambaugh of Mercer, Pa., wrote to us and said he thinks the item is a wrench used to secure the brass nut on the centrifuge of an International Harvester cream separator.

So, pretty close!

We revealed last week the item was a wrench used to tighten the cones on the ballast that runs very fast on a McCormick Deering hand cranked milk separator.

Item No. 859 has proved to be another tough one. The mailbag and in-box were empty this week, so we will show it again this week.

Maxine Sharrock of West Lafayette, Ohio, sent this one in and she says she still uses it in her kitchen.

Do you know how it’s used?
