Angus lovers led 124 entries in W.Va.

LEWISBURG, W.Va. – Angus enthusiasts led 124 entries at the 2007 State Fair of West Virginia Roll of Victory Angus Show Aug. 14 in Lewisburg, W.Va.
Kyle Gillooly, Wadley, Ga., evaluated the 96 females, 19 bulls and nine cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.
Bulls. Katy Satree, Montague, Texas, claimed grand champion bull with DAJS Royal Edition 212. The May 2005 son of Champion Hill Edition 2029 first won senior champion.
G 13 Stand Out captured reserve grand champion bull and reserve senior champion bull. Cherry Knoll Farm Inc., West Grove, Pa.; Greg Smith, Elida, N.M.; and Snake Creek Angus Ranch, Scottsbluff, Neb., own the January 2005 son of G 13 Structure.
Females. Mandy Richardson, Louisa, Va., led the grand champion female. Champion Hill Lucy 5373 is a February 2004 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C and first won junior champion.
A P S Forever Lady Tash was named reserve grand champion female for Anne Patton Schubert, Taylorsville, Ky. The December 2005 daughter of BR Midland first won senior champion.
Pairs. Cherry Knoll Farm Inc., West Grove, Pa.; Brody Fitzgerald, West Grove, Pa.; and Katrina Frey, Quarryville, Pa., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. Freys Arkpride of CherryKnol is a February 2005 daughter of C F Right Design 1802. A March 2007 heifer sired by Connealy Danny Boy completes the winning duo.
Mandy Richardson, Louisa, Va., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Champion Hill Georgina 4402 is a January 2005 daughter of G A R Integrity. A February 2007 daughter of S A V 004 Traveler 4836 was at side.
