WARREN, Ohio – A wedding re-enactment of the marriage of Harriet Taylor to George Upton will be July 9, 6:30 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Warren, Ohio.
The re-enactment will mark the 118th anniversary of the Upton marriage. A garden reception will follow at the Harriet Taylor Upton House.
Invitations will be issued to members of the Upton Association; however, if there are seats available, invitations then will be sent to those who are on the waiting list.

Donations are $50, and proceeds go toward Bicentennial Women’s Walk.
Taylor was originally from Warren. However, she moved to Washington with her father Ezra Taylor, a congressman. Taylor was a member of the women’s suffrage movement.
When he met Taylor, Upton worked for the War Department in Washington. After they moved to Warren, he practiced law.
