STRUTHERS, Ohio — The Steel Valley K-9’s 4-H club is hosting a motorcoach trip to The Ohio State University Veterinary School April 17.

Also on the itinerary is a tour of the Pilot Dog Training Facilities and Kennels.

The cost per person for the trip is $25. Lunch will be available to purchase at the school and dinner will be at a buffet restaurant during a stop on the return trip.

BURTON, Ohio — The Auburn Swine Club held their monthly meeting March 21 at the School Exhibit Building on the Geauga County Fairgrounds.

The president, Bryan Briggs, called the meeting to order. After the normal meeting procedures the correspondence from the Department on Aging was discussed. The club agreed to perform senior cleanup May 8 as long the Department on Aging agrees.

Also discussed was Relay for Life fundraising, the window display for 4-H week and the Livestock Sales Committee by-law change.

It was also discussed that all paperwork for registration needed to be turned in.

Tagging will be done May 15 from 7 a.m. until noon at the fairgrounds.

The next meeting will be held April 18 at the School Exhibit Building at the fairgrounds.

WHEELING, W.Va. — Support Ohio County 4-H by visiting Elm Grove Tractor Supply Co. between now and April 18 and donate $1 or more.

The store is located at 6 Elm Grove Shopping Mall, Wheeling.

SCIO, Ohio — The A to Z 4-H club met March 4 with 22 in attendance.

President Hunter Logan conducted the meeting. The club discussed the levy, projects and club dues.

Health and safety talks were given by Logan on chain saws, Donnie Leggett on ATVs, Clay Rector and Eli McCory on bikes, Ashley Luyster on body care, Diana Luyster on roller skating and Clayton Luyster on cars.

The next meeting is at 7 p.m. April 1.

NORTH BENTON, Ohio — The Village Varieties 4-H Club met March 23 at the North Benton Presbyterian Church.

The meeting was called to order by Vice President Billy Grammer and role call was taken by Valerie Weingart, to which 52 members responded.

Nineteen Cloverbuds were also in attendance. In new business, members discussed the upcoming horse symposium where the members would be running the concession stand.

The next meeting will take place 7 p.m. April 10 at North Benton Presbyterian Church.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — Bits-N-Bridles 4-H Club held their organizational meeting March 28 at the Belmont County Saddle Club.

This is an exclusive horse project club, with training and/or work sessions scheduled for each meeting. Membership eligibility to the club is open to any boy or girl who is enrolled in the third grade and at least 8-years-old as of January 1 of the current year.

Meetings are to be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm, with rain days on the following Thursday. The next meeting is scheduled April 13 at the Belmont County Saddle Club on U.S. Route 40 at 5:30 pm. In case of rain the meeting will be held on Thursday, April 15.
