A roundup of 4-H news for the week of Dec. 31, 2009

BARNESVILLE, Ohio — The Barnesville Progressive Home Helpers 4-H club held its monthly meeting Dec. 12 at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Barnesville.

The Rada knife orders were turned in as well as non-perishable food items for the community service projects.

The meeting was called to order by Andy Selmon and secretary minutes were read by Kortney Temple. Arin Selmon gave the treasurers report and Leann Moore gave the news reporters report.

Jacob Greenlee provided the refreshments for the meeting.

The next meeting will be held Jan. 9 at the church. The Moores will provide the refreshments.

CORTLAND, Ohio — The Happy Hams 4-H swine club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 2 at the Agricultural Service Center (Extension Office) in Cortland.

This will be the first meeting of the 2010 4-H season. At this month’s meeting members will discuss the upcoming 4-H season and conduct officer elections.
